Happy New Year!

Hey Guys, I wanted to wish everyone a Happy and Healthy New Year and say thanks for tuning in.

We’ve had 37 Posts this year and 3,623 views. The Busiest day for the blog was on November 11th. As we go forward into 2009 I’ll do my best to increase the momentum. Let me just say that I have a profound respect for my fellow photographers who put forth the effort to post every day.

I’m processing a recent shoot and just had to share these.

Family time…

It’s that time of year again..

RBA Salon- Milburn NJ:Fashion After Show.

These girls were the runway models for a L’oreal sponsored Hair Show & Seminar. They were absolute troopers. After a lengthy hair and make up session they did a Runway show and then had to sit for head shots. After all that, they were still easy to work with.

What you are not seeing here is the additional 20lbs of hair they had attached to their heads. If I posted those the hair would take up the entire frame and these great faces would be lost. I’ll save those for my client.

RBA Salon Shoot – Day One

OK guys. Here are a FEW of the frames from the RBA salon shoot (Day One)
Everyone was FANTASTIC! That being said, I’m having trouble going through the proofs and actually getting rid of any of the shots.

There are SOOOOO many keepers. I started out with over 1500 photos and I’m down to about 857 that I still have to go through. SO, if you’re not on the blog, don’t take it personally I’m working as fast as I can. and will be posting a “Proof Gallery” Soon

Aikido Shoot

just wanted to post Friday night’s shoot.

Meet Sensei, Wee Wow Dumlao; Owner and chief instructor of Gold Coast Aikikai in Miami Florida. She was in town for a one day Seminar at Aikido of Summit Her student Maite, took OVER 120 Throws in about an hour of shooting and barely broke a sweat! What else can you say about that????

Bun In & Out of the Oven.

These are from a recent maternity shoot. I try to do these in two sessions. One with Mom in her last tri-mester. Which is a great opportunity to get the older siblings involved in the excitement of the new arrival. The second Part of the shoot is usually two weeks after the baby is born. these are then put into an album or sold as individual prints.

LIGHTROOM 2.0 (Beta)

Adobe Announces Lightroom 2.0 (BETA)

Big news guys.. you can now download the new version of Lightroom (in beta version of course) for free.
There is already a ton of support for Lightroom 2.0.

The guys over at photoshop user have already opened a FREE PUBLIC Lightroom learning center.

Also Terry White has great write up on it HERE As well as the guys over at INSIDE LIGHTROOM , John Nack on AdobeHas a good write up too. And of course be sure to check outScott Kelby’s Blog!

There are a ton of goodies for all the pros out there like localized adjustments, output direct to jpeg, opening RAW files as smart objects and more! Also for you LR 1.x users, LR 2.0 will not interfere with your current install or catalogs to eliminate any chance of file corruption.

Needless to say I’m pretty psyched.

Funny.

Especially being a parent and a photographer. This is hysterical. enjoy!

Proofs Going out From Last Week’s Shoot

I just wanted to let you know that the the first proofs form last Sunday’s shoots have gone out. If you haven’t received an e-mail from me yet, expect one over the next week.
